Kusadasi is located on the Aegean Coast approximately 90km south of Izmir, the third largest city in Turkey.  It is easily accessible by air via three major airports, Izmir (ADB) 85km, Bodrum (BDR) 155km and Dalaman (DLM) 175km.  It boasts an international passenger port, which serves on average 2,400 ships per year, and has been host to many large and prominent cruse liners from all over the world, a few being the renowned Q.E.II, and also the biggest liner in the world the Grand Princess.   Its prestigious yacht marina has a capacity to serve approx. 1,545 boats per year.  It is ideally situated in a bay surrounded by 50km of magnificent coastline, 20km of which are beautiful sandy beaches with warm turquoise seas. It is conveniently located in very close proximity to all the major archaeological sites in the Aegean Region, to include Ephesus, Priene, Miletos, Didyma and Pamukkale.

The House of Virgin Mary, the small house, located on the hills of Ephesus, is believed to be where the Virgin Mary spent her final years.  It has been dedicated by the Roman Catholic Church as a holy destination and recently (26.11.2006) visited by Pope Benedict.  The House of Virgin Mary is 25km from Kusadasi.

Tourism in Turkey is known to have started over thirty years ago in this then a small fishing village.  Today, it has become a leading tourist resort with its resident population of 47,500 which increases to up to over 200,000 during the peak summer periods.  Kusadası offers an abundance of various accommodations with a total bed capacity of 42,945, which include 11 five star and 14 four star hotels, five holiday villages and numerous other tourist facilities.

Kusadası is renowned for its shopping (best prices possible), colourful and exciting nightlife and entertainment and its abundant choice of authentic and international cuisine.  Because of its vast choice of shopping opportunities from leather, carpets, and jewellery to souvenir, it is a shopping experience to be lived by all.  For those aviation enthusiasts, there is a landing strip 15km from Kusadası, which offers a wide variety of exciting activities.
